Peavey AT-200 Guitar Uses Auto-Tuning Technology

Guitar players worried about losing their tune during a smoking solo might want to take a look at Peavey’s latest creation.  It’s the Peavey AT-200.

TechCrunch.com has shared information about this new axe which utilizes Antares Solid-Tune technology. This auto-tuning guitar analyzes the individual pitch of the strings, making any necessary corrections along the way.

Design-wise, the AT-200 doesn’t look too different with other electric guitars but its instant tuning feature could well be a big reason for it to become a must-buy for many musicians.

What do you think about the AT-200 guitar?  Post a comment below and let us know.

Whilst the concept sounds great, I don't think too many guitarists will be rushing out to change guitars! There are so many facets that go into the process of choosing a guitar and whilst auto-tuning is a great innovation, most guitarists can easily tune their guitar by ear. I am confident my buddy won't be giving up his Fender Stratocaster anytime soon - although if Fender or Gibson added this feature to their existing line-up it may do very well :)
